I ordered the osso buco with pasta and a side of garlic bread. It was very tender, fork tender even. The tomato sauce had a good balance of flavors. The pasta was al dente, neither over cooked or under cooked. The garlic bread was even the right texture with a soft doughy middle and crusty outer side. It also had just the right about of butter. I would order this again if room service was what I was looking for.
I’m not normally a fan of ordering room service, however, today was an exception. If you want to hear just about the food please scroll down. Today was apparently just not my day to travel. I should have known with it being February and trying to get into Cleveland with two stops My first flight was late boarding and then had to de-ice before take off. After landing in Dallas I had less than 30 mins to get to my next flight only to find out that we would also be late boarding and would have to de-ice before leaving. I knew I wouldn’t have much time to make it to my connecting flight in Chicago so I mentally geared up to be the crazy lady running through the airport. Well Chicago did me a favor and cancelled my flight to Cleveland. They re-booked me, but for a flight out the next day. That couldn’t happen. I needed to get to Cleveland TODAY. Turns out the reason why I was rebooked for the next afternoon is that every flight between now and then was completely sold out. So I searched for flights to nearby cities. Detroit, sold out. Columbus, sold out. Toledo, got the last seat on the tiny little plane. After landing I also secured the last tiny little rental car available and drove two hours to get to my final destination. After a 13 hour travel day I was pretty beat and didn’t really want to venture out too far so I opted for room service. I took this as my official initiation and welcome to the travel world. One way or another I would have “that” kind of a travel day. I’m not looking forward to this happening again.
