Austin's Smokin' Steakhouse - Mayfield Village, OH (Cleveland)

I've truly discovered that there's never a shortage of new places to try whenever I visit Cleveland. Austin's Smokin' Steakhouse is right off Wilson Mills Road and can be easily missed, but is a place that you should definitely try. It's part of the Austin's Wood Fire Restaurants, which has another location in Brecksville. It's open for lunch and dinner and they offer great weeknight specials.

The all-American menu offers more than just steaks and includes burgers, sandwiches and pasta. I also loved their play on words with their "Ausome Appetizers". I opted for the Austin's Original Baby Back ribs. How can I refuse an original? I ordered the 1/4 rack with sides of mac and cheese and cole slaw. It was a great choice! The meat was so tender and had a great Hickory smoke flavor. The BBQ was tangy and sweet and balanced out the smokiness of the meat. The mac and cheese was simple with great flavor. It was perfectly cheesy. The cole slaw was delicious as well with a light flavor and dressing.

I ended the meal by trying their special dessert, the banana bread pudding. I've never had the pudding before and it was delicious, as was their key lime pie that I stole a bite of from my friend. The pudding was soft and soaked up all the good creaminess of the bourbon butter sauce. The key lime pie was tart with a good balance of sweetness. I would recommend either.

Definitely give Austin's Smokin' Steakhouse a shot and you won't be disappointed by their all-American flare.
